About the Role

As a Product Analyst at Narrative, you'll be at the intersection of data, user research to support product development and strategy. Your core focus will be on uncovering opportunities through both quantitative analysis and qualitative user insights, evaluating product performance, and supporting impactful product development.

This role is perfect for someone who combines analytical rigor with genuine curiosity about user behavior and needs. You'll play a critical part in building our understanding of how photographers interact with our products, identifying unmet needs through direct user engagement, and measuring the real-world impact of our solutions.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead and conduct regular user research calls to understand photographer workflows, pain points, and unmet needs

  • Build and scale our user research process, establishing a continuous feedback loop with key customer segments

  • Own key product metrics and build comprehensive dashboards to track conversion, retention, and feature adoption

  • Collaborate with the product team and cross-functional teams to define metrics, track performance, and measure impact

  • Conduct deep-dive analyses to investigate user behavior patterns and validate research findings

  • Synthesize qualitative insights from user calls with quantitative data to surface hidden product opportunities

  • Support designing and analysing A/B tests to evaluate new features and validate user research hypotheses

  • Build data infrastructure and reporting systems that democratize insights across the organization

  • Work closely with engineering to ensure the integrity, accessibility, and quality of product data

  • Translate complex findings into concise and actionable recommendations for both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Support go-to-market strategies and post-launch analysis by measuring outcomes against goals and hypotheses

About You

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and insight-driven Product Analyst who combines strong technical skills with a deep curiosity about product performance and user behavior. You’ll be a great fit if you have:

  • Strong SQL proficiency for data analysis

  • Python basics for data manipulation and analysis

  • User research experience with both qualitative methods (interviews, usability testing) and quantitative analysis

  • Systems thinking approach, seeing connections between user behaviors, product features, and business outcomes

Ideal Qualities

  • Strong problem-solving abilities with the initiative to dig deeper when initial findings raise new questions

  • Self-directed and able to identify research opportunities and drive projects forward independently

  • Photography interest or experience - understanding our users' creative process is a huge plus

  • Bias toward action and being comfortable moving from insight to recommendation to implementation

  • Collaborative mindset and enjoys working closely with engineers, designers, and product managers
