We’re introducing a new, simplified pricing structure with all-inclusive plans designed for different types of photographers - no more juggling subscriptions and credit packs.

Whether you're just starting out or you’re booked and busy, there's now a plan that fits your needs and grows with you. We believe these plans offer more value, more freedom, and make it clearer as to how much you pay each month.

🗓️ When Does It Change?

The new pricing goes live on May 28th, 2025 for new users. For existing users, your accounts will be migrated starting on June 4th but it may take a few days for this to be reflected on existing accounts. More on this below.

For any Select Free users:

As a small team, we’ve always been committed to building tools that genuinely support photographers. While it’s been our hope to keep parts of Narrative free, we’ve reached a point where that’s no longer sustainable. To continue delivering meaningful improvements, supporting our users, and building impactful features we need to move to a paid model.

All Select Free users will be automatically upgraded to a free trial of our Ultra plan starting from June 4th — no action needed.

At the end of the trial, as a thank-you for being part of our journey, you’ll receive 25% off any plan of your choice for one year.

For any active Select Pro subscribers before June 4th, 2025:

• You will keep your existing pricing for 12 months
• You’ll be automatically moved to the Standard Plan, which includes all the Select Pro features you already love!
• As a thank-you for your loyalty, you’ll also unlock an exclusive offer: 25% off Premium or Ultra for an entire year when you upgrade after June 4th, 2025. This will be reflected in your account when it is available.

Are there device limits or is it a user limit?

Lite and Standard plans are designed for 1 user, Premium supports 2 users, and Ultra is ideal for 4 users. Each user can be signed in on one device at a time, so your plan determines how many devices can be logged in simultaneously.

Can I use multiple devices?

Yes! You can switch between devices freely. However, you can only be signed in on as many devices as your plan allows based on its user limit.

Note: Projects do not carry over between devices, but your personal presets will.

What are Advanced AI culling features?

Narrative's Standard, Premium and Ultra plans offer advanced AI to make photo culling faster, easier, and more accurate. Our intelligent tools analyze every shot and provide instant feedback on eye openness, blinking, and facial expressions - so you can skip the guesswork and get to the best images faster.

AI face assessment automatically detects all faces in a photo and shows you whether eyes are open or closed, if someone is blinking, and even highlights focus issues. This helps photographers instantly eliminate unusable shots and zero in on the keepers.

Our face close-up view pops out each face in a group photo so you can easily compare expressions side-by-side - perfect for selecting the best version of a group shot without endlessly zooming in and out.

Narrative’s AI ranks every image based on technical quality and facial cues, so your best photos rise to the top. This helps speed up photo selection dramatically, especially for large shoots like weddings, events, or family sessions.

Is AI editing unlimited now?

Yes! With our new plans, you get unlimited edits with AI Presets into Lightroom. No more worrying about credits or usage limits - just edit as much as you want and keep your creativity flowing.

These unlimited editing plans are designed for individual photographers, and under typical usage, we don’t expect any issues. However, to ensure consistent performance for everyone, we’ve implemented a fair use policy, particularly to prevent high-volume studio accounts from impacting overall system speed.

If you're a studio or team with heavier editing needs, we’d love to support you too! Just reach out to us directly, and we’ll be happy to discuss a custom plan tailored to your workflow.

Will I lose access to the AI Presets I've been using when I am migrated?

No, don’t worry! All existing users will receive a grace period of several weeks, during which you’ll still have access to any Narrative, Artist, and Personal presets you’ve been using. Best of all—you’ll no longer be paying per image to use them!

Any AI Presets included in the grace period will be clearly labeled with a temporary notice, along with details on whether they will require a one-time payment via the upcoming Preset Marketplace, or if a specific plan will be needed for continued access.

Where can I find the Preset Marketplace?

The Preset Marketplace is coming soon!

In the meantime, enjoy free access to all AI Presets. Each preset will be clearly labeled to indicate this is limited-time access, but rest assured—when your plan changes you’ll have access for a grace period to any presets you've been working with and rely on.

Does Narrative work with Lightroom?

Yes! Narrative integrates seamlessly with Adobe Lightroom. You can apply your custom AI presets directly in Lightroom, making your post-processing workflow faster and more consistent. No more toggling between software - just smart, efficient editing.

What happens to credits I have purchased?

We will refund the value of any unused paid credits to your account, and this amount will be automatically applied to your future billing cycles.

If this applies to you, you’ll receive an email around June 4th, confirming your migration and detailing the credit amount applied to your account for reference.

Are Narrative Publish Plans changing?
